Pre-conditioning practice is essential, and understanding what we are trying to do will help our team recognize the importance of development. Please do not come to play if you are not committed to excellence.
Team Goals: We are trying to develop our endurance and strength in the first two weeks.
Teams lose games because players are not in good enough shape. Therefore, we must develop their oxygen system using aerobic and anaerobic running. So, during our preseason workouts, ensure you have a lot of aerobic (distance running).
Our legs give out on us because we are weak. Therefore, we need stronger athletes. Being stronger will lessen our injury, make us run faster, and help us jump higher. Please keep in mind a full range of motion when using weights. We must be in the weight room FOUR times a week before the full season practice, and we have only a short time to do this. After every weight training, they must go to the gym to shoot around and play two two-skill practices to Keep Score. (Team Statisticians)
All work-outs Start at 5:00 pm in the classroom for Varsity Teams only and at 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm in the weight room (or when the schedule is issued)
All schedules are subject to change; please check with your coaches and our basketball website.
Saturday: Team Practice from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Weight room after Varsity
